Community Shared Agriculture

Welcome to the Glen Valley Organic Farm Community Shared Agriculture program!

 Glen Valley Organic Farm is located in Abbotsford, BC, and owned by the Glen Valley Organic Farm Cooperative (GVOFC).  Close to Home Organics has operated a CSA from Glen Valley, in one form or another, for the past 20 years.  We take pride in delivering a wide array of fresh, organic vegetables to members every week between June and November.  We work closely with Earth Apple Organic Farm (organic vegetables and garlic from Glen Valley) and Snowy Mountain Organic Farm (organic fruit from Cawston).   

GVOFC is a land co-operative in Abbotsford, BC that stewards a beautiful 50 acre property with farmland, forest, wildlife and natural waterways that flow into the salmon-migrating waters of the mighty Fraser River, just footsteps from our fields.  GVOFC has overseen the farming of this land since 1999.  We acknowledge the traditional ancestral and unceeded territory of the Kwantlen First Nation and Matsqui First Nation, both of the Stό:lō Nation. The Stό:lō people have lived in the Fraser Valley for 10,000 years and we acknowledge the traditional territory in which we reside and grow food.

Community Shared Agriculture programs offer a unique relationship between farmers and consumers. By purchasing a subscription at the start of the farming season, consumers support their farmers by helping cover the costs of growing. In return, the farmer provides a share of the harvest each week through the seasons — a diverse selection of the freshest produce available. Both the consumer and the farmer share the risk of the season. The size of each week's share is determined, in part, by the growing conditions of the season.
